We finally got together for our first ride on Saturday. We met at Rutters, said our introductions and talked for a little while before heading out to KClingers tavern for a bite to eat. We had a good time sitting around talking before we got on our bikes and went riding. The ride itself went pretty well. I spent most of my time trying not to kill myself while riding and trying to take pictures at the same time. The only mechanical issues were all mine unfortunately. First of all my Batavus got hot going up some slight inclines and started slowing down. It practically came to a stop at one point but then it straightened out eventually. The other problem happed when I was not too far from home. The tip of my exhaust pipe fell off! I had no idea it happened but luckily Dan was riding behind me at the time and saw it. And I thought I had all my nuts and bolts tightened up. I've always heard that the vibrations from mopeds will work things loose, now I have first-hand experience.

All in all it went pretty well. We didn't really ride very long because it got late before we knew it but I hope to have another ride soon and get more riding under our belts.
